UMES Organising Committee is a group of economics undergraduates in the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Malaya who are driven to spread economics awareness. This team comprises talented, hardworking and creative youths who hold onto the core values of the event. We truly hope UMES provides an eye-opening experience in learning concepts that allow you to understand the economic issues and to see the world from different perspectives. After submitting your application with your CV, a confirmation email indicating you have successfully registered will be sent to you within 7-14 working days. However, the shortlisted email will only be sent to the eligible applicants after our screening process.

Yes, we will assign you into a group of 5 with other individual applicants! Be prepared to meet new friends and build meaningful memories with your team members!

Yes we do! An e-certificate will be emailed to you after the event.

We appreciate your attendance for the previous NYES. You are most welcome to join UMES 2022 again!

There is no big difference as UMES has remained the core deliverables to the participants which are game challenge, keynotes, forums, and also case study analysis challenge. However, UMES offers a pre-event session for the participants before the event days!

Definitely, yes! We encourage undergraduates from all backgrounds to join UMES 2022 as long as you’re within the age of 18-25. UMES provides an opportunity for participants to learn about economics and its application through various activities such as game challenges, case study, keynotes and networking forums. Be prepared to learn together with us as you go along!

The short answer is yes! Our activities will start from morning until evening with breaks in between. It is advisable to have a two-day room on your schedule for UMES! However, a more detailed tentative will be sent to you after your registration so that you can plan earlier!
